When an elderly Boonton Township firefighter and electrician passed away, his son found himself faced with the responsibility of disposing of his estate. He asked his realtor for advice on where to turn to help clear out the house to get it ready to put up for sale. Luckily, our good friend, ReMax realtor Jackie Scura, suggested he call Junk-A-Haulics.
We responded immediately and found ourselves in awe of this upstanding citizen’s lifelong accumulation of ‘stuff.’
Included among the goodies we found, was the Life Magazine pictured above from 1932 with a cover photo of Eleanor Roosevelt—and, astoundingly, it was in excellent condition!
Since this man had been an electrician, he had accumulated an enormous amount of metal objects during his lifetime. And in his garage was a car from the 1950’s! We ultimately filled up 12 truckloads with his belongings—and were able to donate many useful things to our donation partners, who were ecstatic, to say the least.
So keep Junk-A-Haulics in mind if you know anyone who needs to do an estate cleanout. We know this is often an extremely emotional time—we’re here to make the process as easy and convenient as possible for you and your family.
